New turkey killers for the vest

Went to our local turkey expo. Cant afford Nashville unfortunately. Was going to pick Jbrown a David Halloran crystal mistress, and some woodie calls by Misfire game calls. All Davids stuff sounds awesome, but I still like to mix and match strikers to calls to get the sound Im looking for. I think I got Jim a winner. I also walked away with one of his new ceramics and he gave me three of his mouth calls. Two of them sound awesome.

I'm so tempted to go over there after work or on Saturday with my buddy yellow acorns but I really want to save up for an 870 that will handle 3.5 inch shells. I could just go pay cash for one but would rather save up the cash from side jobs and extra money that just using my checking account. If I go to the show, I'm gonna want to much stuff, beside I picked up a lathe from my bro in law yesterday and can make all the calls and strikers I want. I did get a nice slate and tube from Pappy, so I am good to go for now.

hey Crutch. check out Dick's Sporting Goods. I got a Fully Camo 870 with a red dot and pistol grip for less than 500 this time last year. If you want I can check the one in M'Boro and see if they have any.

Practicing delayed gratification on this one. Going to get it when I have discretionary money. I could just go get it but would rather do it with stash money and not out of my checking account.

We have a Dick's sporting goods off of Charlotte pick I believe, not far from work.  Will check it out as soon as get the stash built up.  Was going with 350 dollar gun at BP but I waited to long and now have to have the biggest and baddest. Kind of like waiting too long and ended up getting a Leopold for my 270 last fall>

Right past the GA weigh station? Been seeing two there lately. No excuses if you cant kill a bird with that crystal. I ran it, so I know its all turkey. Your welcome, any time, i like spending other peoples money.


Crutch, I found some good deals here in a pawn shop in Charleston, SC. They have a couple of Franchi I 12 under 500.00 brand new. I saw them about three weeks ago and the guy said he was coming down 10% in thirty days...they should be reduced by now. He also had some 870s for 189.00, couple of new stoeger m 2000s for 339.00 and some super black eagles priced at 939.00. All were to be reduced 10%.
