Rem 870 Trigger Fix

Evening fellas...
Wondering if anyone has any advice or experience on drop in trigger assembly's or spring changes for my 870 20 ga. Mine's got lots of creep and of course very heavy.
I have almost missed a few birds due to it.
Any advice appreciated.

I bought the Timney kit. Has a new sear and three different trigger springs for pull weight. Shop around...they really work...

Ive got patriot sear springs in my 870's. They definately made a difference in pull weight. Seems like a lot of guys love the timney kit for 870s. I would love to try the timney kit and see how it is compared to just the sear spring. That said i just dont see spending $100 on the timney kit, seems like your paying $50 for the parts $50 for the name.

Still a slight bit of "spongy, mush" but much lighter than it was and much better control, and I didn't even use the lightest spring. You might get by with just a set of springs from Mcarbo. I am not sure the sear is necessary to change to get acceptable results...

Also went the Timney route and it made a huge difference. Used the middle weight spring. Highly recommend!

I have a Timney on mine, but a friend went with the kit from MCarbo. Much cheaper. It's not as smooth as mine, but for the price difference it's pretty dan good.

I lightened mine up with a Macarbo spring... $20, easy install

Same here. Installed aftermarket spring, dry fire 100-150 times with Snap Caps and now it breaks clean at 3.25# with basically no creep on front end. I have done this on all three 870s I own, with springs from Remington, MCarbo and CCSkeet. CCskeet is cheapest at link below.
