Question on breeding
« on: May 23, 2011, 10:40:59 AM »
One of the properties I hunt in Kansas (Eastern species) is relatively small (80 acres) and had a flock of approx. 12-15 birds with 3 mature toms , the rest jakes and hens.  I harvested the largest of the toms (26lbs) early in the season this year and a neighboring hunting party on the adjoining land harvested the other two mature toms about a weekl later.

My question is this:  Will the remaining jakes take over the breeding?

Thanks for your time.
