Good youth vest

Does anyone have any good recommendations of a good youth turkey vest?  My son is 10 and is a lil bitty fart at 65lbs.  He is a turkey hunting fanatic as well.  He has a little redhead vest but it's not much count.  I have modified it slightly but I'm kinda thinking of the run n gun vest from K&H.  Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I would look on eBay and especially for the older Mossy Oak Elite vests, made by Russell if you go back far enough. I keep one in S/M for kids to use and it's solidly well made and a kid could never wear out the cushion.  Also like the full vest style instead of strap styles because kids are usually colder on hunts and it helps keep heat in, add in their own Thermacell and snacks and locator calls and they feel like they have tools of the trade too.

Not sure if they make them anymore, but the youth model Cabelas Tat'r Tot is awesome.
This year is going to suck!!!

Does it have to be a vest? Have you looked at Glenda Greens satchels? She makes then in 2 different sizes. This is just another option.

Just saw a youth vest for sale on eBay. Think it was a redhead brand.

Thanks for the replies guys.  I'm really wanting something that has a pretty good seat but still lightweight.  I want the Lil fella to be  fairly comfortable so he don't move too much. They don't seem to stick around long here with much more than an eye blink LOL!  But of course he still wants to carry a box, pot.  Thermecell.  What he has now has worked fine for 4 years.  I'm probably just wanting to spend money unnecessarily. The wife would think so anyway.

My daughter has an older Mossy Oak longbeard vest. Fits her pretty well. Might find one on eBay.

Buddy, when it comes to searching for a youth vest, I have done the leg work for sure and there aren't many options that serve any purpose. If you could find a Tat'r Tot it'd probably be the best but they are literally like hen's teeth as they haven't made them in years. I searched high and low with no luck.

The RNG 200 has some good reviews for youth use and has a thick speed style seat. I almost bought one but just wasn't crazy about the size of the back and wanted something a little wider for them to lean against. Pluss I like a game bag for storing stuff you can just reach around and grab quick.

I ended up getting an Alps impact youth model which must be fairly new because there were no reviews to explain just how well it fit the kids. Overall I was pleased with the vest as it has a fully functional layout just like you would like for your own use and has enough adjustments to fit perfectly on my skinny 10 y/o and my tall 15 y/o. The only draw back is the seat. It is very lean on the cushion level and I wanted something to keep them comfortable, because if they ain't.. they're gonna be wiggling !!
I just got a good piece of foam, had an obsession camo cover made for it and attached it with buckles just like my Tat'r. We just finished the modifications and I have to say it is now as close to perfect as I could ask for !!

Best of luck with your decision..

Thanks bud.  I didn't realize alps offered a "youth" vest.   Torn between it now and the RNG 300.

My daughter wears the RNG 300 that I used for about a season. Works well for her. Adjusts just enough to fit her well enough. She was 7 last season and it worked. She's a tall, athletic built young'n...close to 65 pounds herself. I wouldn't hesitate to at least try out the RNG line.

just bought the alps impact for my 11 year old son. He is very small also. The vest fits great. I also like the layout and zippered pockets. Like said before the cushion is not very thick but overall we're very satisfied with the vest and would buy again.

Just got the K&H run&gun 200 for my son and it adjusts great to fit about any body!
