After what the country just experienced, and where we are heading, those who like the rule of law, and the Constitution, The Bill of Rights, free speech, and personal freedom, are pretty worked up and short fused at the moment. I'm afraid some of that frustration got siphoned off onto the OP as per his unfortunate decision to shop at Dick's.

I get it 100%. We all as a fraternity need to stick together, through thick and thin. This forum has educated me on a lot of great things, we have to keep passing on our info. The hunting fraternity is shrinking in our country, we can't afford to lose members in our sport, actually we have to concentrate on adding members to keep this all going. The passion on this forum is what attracted me in becoming a member. Be safe, be well...

There's a Dick's less than a two-minute drive from my house.  It opened about fifteen years ago, as I recall.  I went in to take a look when it opened, looked at the hunting/fishing department, and said to myself,..."no need to ever come back in here again",...and I have not. 

Nonetheless, I do appreciate folks here giving a heads-up on potential opportunities for buying stuff we might all be interested in.  So, kudos to you Bailey for doing that!

Dang it, i got slammed today for trying to tell my fellow forum of a 50% of on some Nomad gear, Sorry guys! Wow even got called a Fag! i really thought this site was above this!

Nothing towards you at all 3bailey3.   I'm sure everyone was just expressing their views on the mentioned company.   We appreciate the heads up, keep them coming.  And as far as being called a Fag just consider the source and wear it as a badge of honor.   If my comments came across as unappreciative, that wasn't my intent and I apologize.

The controversy about Dick's on this forum , has been expressed several times. I don't feel that the replies are against your at all 3bailey3 . If someone called you names , i feel sorry for that person. Also as members of this forum, we have to remember, WE start seeing a influx of people to the forum, that usually only show up about 2 months out of the year. I agree with some of the others , we need to protect our right's more than ever now..

I certainly meant no disrespect whatsoever to sbailey3.  I did mean it to Dick's though.  As I don't believe in shopping there is my right, I believe anyone can chose whatever they elect to do and certainly don't need to answer to me.  I'm sorry if I came off ugly, especially to the OP.

As far as the insult, ignore is your friend. I never saw it!

Glad I am not the only one that feels this way about Dicks. I will also remember the pro athletes, actors , musicians who took a giant crap on our Country. I won't be using Amazon for anything either.
