How do you store your diaphram calls from day to day between hunts?

I have tried several different cases and the reeds always seem to be stuck together each morning. Im always nervous to make the first call fearing what sound may come out. Anyone experience this? Whats your workaround?

Cannot imagine why you would wait until you get in the woods and possibly close to a gobbler to find out if the call is going to work or screech. Try a few yelps in the truck before you head in the woods and follow the advice given about cleaning and storage.

Guess I should have been more specific. The first one is never a problem as it is in my mouth long before daylight as I walk a long ways to roosted birds in the dark. Its the ones up in the morning I grab to try something different, while run and gunning.

I put them in a old tobacco can.  They stay moist for the whole season and never stick.

Cut off the ends of plastic forks and rinse every few days with non alcohol mouth wash

I picked up several plastic cases at dollar tree that are divided into sections.  The sections are just big enough to fit a mouth call into.  I think each case holds 12 mouth calls.  I just put those in the fridge or a cool dark place and they seem to work fine.  I do rinse mine with mouth wash and tap water, let them air dry before season though.  Make sure and test those reeds out before going to the woods.  I had a dry rot blow out in the middle of working a bird and needless to say he didn't stick around while I "changed the tire".

Always leave mine submerged in a solo cup with water during season and it will be ready to go as soon as you put it in your mouth!
