I set the decoys around 20ish yds most of the time....without a blind, I don't want them right in my lap.
Shot this one at 22 yds.
I use a 125 gr wasp jak hammer....it has 1 3/4" cut, and destroys turkeys (and deer)

This is the 2nd for me with this set up, my daughter has shot 3 with it....all were dead in sight....hit them high in the wing, and they don't go anywhere.

The short primos shooting sticks are money well spent too!
