Just bought my first 835

the only reason that my old 835 is semi retired is because there is a new 835 with a shorter barrel next to it in the cabinet. I would not think of owning any other turkey gun.
Jakes are like scotch. They are not worth a darn until they age.

I want to try one of the new 835s with the recoil reducing system. I understand it really helps.

As soon as I recover completely, I intend to get one and let you know how it works.

Hopefully you will still be able to get an 835 without that recoil system.

Hey congrats! As a 835 owner, they are great guns. Extremely easy to field strip and clean. And love that ported, thick barrel (overbored), and great balance.
