Mine shot about as low as yours and the shims did not help.  I got sick of shooting turkeys in the breast or trying to hold above a bobbing head.  I put a red dot on it and all is good

Is anyone familiar with these shim kits  ???

The shims are provided with each SBE. They are made to adjust the drop of the stock. If you don't have them, I'd recommend that you contact Mann & Son Sporting Goods (Since 1946) at 618.357.2911 and ask for John or Dustin. They are an authorized Benelli parts distribution center.

Many of the older SBEs shot very low. You may be able to correct it some with the proper shim and then you may need to put some sights on it. I'd recommend that you consider the Truglo "Pro Series" open   sights. TG944D is the model that fits your gun. Those sights should be able to put you on target. They are fully adjustable for windage and elevation and give a very good sight picture for turkey hunting.

I hope that helps.

Thanks,
Clark

Thanks guys I looked at the weaver 93 rail that people have said is correct but the slot's seem very far apart if I chose a red dot would the bars under the sight need to go in each slot on the base to be stable??? any feedback on the saddle mount that is made for these???
