The only thing snake boots will help with here is to identify the body, they won't get digested....

If you can find the Russell Brand Snake boot, I heard they are the best. The company just changed ownership in 2022 I believe. They are not cheap, but guaranteed for life if something comes apart, etc. I have a pair of their Bird hunting boots that I wear turkey hunting in warmer weather. They are great boots for sure.

I finally bought a pair of snake boots this year and settled on Chippewa pull ons, we'll see how they work out soon enough.

I looked to get Russell's but they no longer list snake boots on their website. I also saw a handful of poor reviews since the new owners took over. Those reviews centered around turn around time and "lost" deposits. Take that for what it's worth because I just read it on the internet. No personal experience.

After a lot of research I bought a new pair of Russell's and it was a disaster. They lasted a week before the zippers completely broke, then I had a time with the customer service. They finally gave me a refund.

Thanks for this info.

I would like to buy a "Made in USA" pair of snake boots, but I don't know any other boot makers in America that still make them. I think that I will avoid Russell because of all the bad things that I've read lately.

I bought a pair of Rocky's and loved them. We dont have issues with snakes around here, but I bought them for a Missouri hunt and glad I did. I saw more copperheads than I ever thought I would. They bwill come in handy this year in Florida. Worth every nickel. Z

I hunt in Florida so don't hunt with out them. I think of them like insurance. Hope I never need them, glad I have them if I do...

I like the Lacrosse Venom Snakeboots a lot

I have a pair of the Lacrosse Venoms that I love.  I wanted something a little more waterproof for the bottoms so I have purchased a pair of the Lacrosse Alphas.  Haven't hunted with them yet so can really give any recommendation.

Russell's aren't the same and never will be, if you can find an older pair that fits well you'll be set for a long time
