Good post!! When deerhunting i had one run through the farmers electric fence whose land i had permission on..Right away i called him and told him what happened and that we would pay for what was broken& fix it..
We kept watch to make sure his cows didnt get out& apologized a couple of times& he just was happy we told him instead of walk away from it...Ive hunted his ground for over 30yrs,but even if it was the 1st year id do the right thing again whether i could hunt it again or not....

I cant really add to this post as most of the posts are excellent. Just know where you are in the food chain, be repectful and be a steward for the land and the land owner. TALK to PEOPLE, no texts or emails, face to face human interaction. That is the best and toughest lesson I teach my kids and younger hunting companions. Enjoy your families during the holidays. Z

I'm going with the Golden Rule. Can't go wrong there.

I am by no means a Christian man. I have followed this just to watch the responses and they are great! I agree .

The thing that has been in my mind the whole time is the golden rule. Do as to others, as you would have them do unto you!

This would solve a lot of the Worlds problems if people would keep this in mind. Not just for hunting, for every day life decisions! Not preaching, as said earlier, I have done lots of things I can look back on and shake my head about. I am sure I will do more, hopefully less than in the past.
