Trs 25. Small. light. reliable and durable. In that price range they are hard to beat.                             There is no difference in "speed" between a reflex or tube type
red dot. I think tube types are better under most hunting conditions.

I asked this earlier but didnt get a reply- I was thinking the tube type required proper eye relief, such as a normal rifle scope but it doesnt so you are correct the tube vs reflex style there is no difference in 'speed' in target acquisition. The tube would seem like it might be a little more durable then a reflex though.

As I said I ordered the TruGlo reflex...we'll see how it goes.

Another vote for the Bushnell trs-25.

The ARO AT3, a reflex sight will fit on a shotgun W/a sight mount and sells for about $135.
I was going to say the same thing. I've got a Fastfire and I actually like this AT3 even more so far.

Fits on a SumToy mount as well.

I have had a Bushnell 1 x 28 Trophy Red Dot on my 870 for several years. Has stayed zeroed from the get go. I love the thing. Was about $90.00 maybe 10 years ago or so.

Another vote for the TRS-25. Have one on both my 12ga and 20ga turkey guns and they are solid. Never had an issue. Bushnell sometimes runs rebates on them too. Midway had them a month or so ago for $70 with a $30 rebate. Worth every penny in my experience.

I've had  a trs-25 for 4 or 5 years and it was great until one morning this season I looked down and it was completely fogged up on the inside, couldn't even see through it. It only had a 1 year warranty so I haven't even bothered trying to contact Bushnell about it.

I bit the bullet and bought a holosun hs510c and I'm happy with it so far but time will tell.

Just my 2 cents

I got a Bushnell RXS 100 in the off season.  Killed two Toms with it this year.  Took my grandson out today and we got caught in a rain shower.  The RXS 100 wasn't working when the rain stopped.  It's supposed to be water resistant to mil spec, I forget the designation.  I'm not real happy with Bushnell after my binocular warranty experience taking six months and now this.

I'm planning on using a Sig Romeo 5 on a Stevens .410 for my kids. The R5s have been rock solid for me and they're only $100.

Plus 1 on the Sig Romeo 5 , you can get these with a circle dot also, excellent choice.

I haven't seen those, but have a similar reticule on my Holosun on my p365xl that I really like. I'll have to check that out.

Just an update to say the red dot is working after a couple of days of drying out at home.  Now I don't know if I can trust it and will be reading this thread with a purchase in mind.
