Tail Feathers

If I remember, nothing bigger than 2 shot.  No restriction on the smaller shot.  I live in TX and shoot TSS 9's.  EDIT: In a quick look some counties with Easterns are "shotgun only" with no mention of shot size.
Most of Rio country is rifle or shotgun.

Waiting on a PA reply.  If nothing else this spring should be able to do a mid May hunt there at a wife's cousins home in the Poconos.  Be on all State Game Lands.  Their home is surrounded by it.  May take the .410 with Apex 9 1/2 or the 12 with Apex 8 1/2 if legal.  Still have some WW HV #6 lead in the safe if necessary but the more recent birds seem to prefer being shot at with TSS. LOL.  :turkey2: :OGturkeyhead:

Was told last night, NJ was hot to trot on 9s and .410s but Covid disallowed the meeting and now it's not even a consideration again

Iowa has a bill introduced to legislature to allow #9 shot, fingers crossed it will be data driven and make it through...until then restricted to 8's

I had not heard this.   Fingers crossed.  Hopefully they are considering the addition of sub gauges also. They need to get with the times.
Yep-sub gauges are part of the bill...would be great to bring Iowa into the modern age

While I'd prefer to use a TSS load it won't be a deal breaker.  Used  WW HV for years and can use it again if necessary.

Illinois is still 4-7.5 in nothing smaller then a 20ga.

Sir-diealot

Yes New York still restricts to number 8 shot, I hope they change it eventually but only with tungsten shot.

Pennsylvania is good for #9 shot and .410 bore shotguns.  That's what I am using this year.

"Hunting Devices: Shotgun (20 gauge to 10 gauge only, no 410 or 28 gauge allowed). Overall minimum length is 26 inches and the minimum barrel length is 18 inches. #4 shot is the largest size shot that may be legally used."

Illinois changed shot size restriction several years ago!

I wish Illinois would allow 28 gauge, and 410. Would love to have a over/under Turkey dedicated 28.

N.J. IS considering. Sub gauges AND shot size 10 and up in tss.
Hopefully it'll pass. If it does, it normally takes two years to be officially written into code.
Fingers crossed.
