Only commenting because it's early January and I don't have much else to do ! I don't think you could tell me that there is one purebred turkey in nebraska. It's the melting pot for hybrids when you look at the map. Regardless I'd go too if I was you, and if you liked the one with the white tips more than the one with buff tips and you shot him and called him a merriams, I wouldn't blame you. I called my northwest nebraska turkey a merriams and I called my southern nebraska turkey a rio. They were probably both hybridized at some point!

One of the big reasons I found this board is I was researching Nebraska turkey hunting. I have never heard of Heritage Outfitters, but I am looking to do a DIY hunt in north west Nebraska in April. Good luck if you're able to make the trip.
