Very funny you should say that, I just ordered a Macassar ebony striker from obsession

So did I. Looking forward to working with it, awful lot of folks like them. Right now, my fav is a Harold Fowler walnut top over a tulipwood stem.

Plain ole Hickory works for me. Cedar with a corn cob top for the soft stuff.

Yingling Black locust. Best striker I've ever had. Try n get one with every call I get from him just to have them around. Have a Sinclair ebony gaboon (I think anyway) that's solid. Hardy game calls dymondwood been good as well. Also, mikes fiber rod. If I don't have at least one of those 3 with me for whatever reason, I don't run a pot call that day. But, I don't leave home without at least one of them so doesn't matter.
