thanks for the nice compliments y'all

Congrats on the tom.

It looks like you are using a shureshot stock.  Are you shooting the factory beads for sights?  If so, any problems with that combo?

Thats a rope and a paintbrush all rolled into one!

hey hobbes. you're right, that is a shurshot stock set on the 12ga 870. I tried it with sights but I went back to the factory bead set-up. I have NO problem what so ever. as a matter of fact I'm looking for a shurshot stock for that 20ga. that stock set (in my opinion) is the way to go. I've had the 12ga for almost 30 years and was skeptical about the shurshot but man I wish I'd done it when they first come out.

Thanks for the info.  I can't find one in Montana to look at (I'm sure there is one somewhere), and was told by someone that it needed sights due to high comb.  I bought my 870 Turkey Special in about 92, so mine is 25 yrs old.  The stock needs a replaced and I've been carrying it instead of the, super mag.

Congrats again.

hey hobbes.  I'm surprised you can't find one to handle because they are very common (at least I thought so). a buddy of mine bought a super mag with that stock set and the first time I held it I was hooked. hope you get your hands on one soon.

A dedicated turkey gun just won't sell much in Montana.  Lots of waterfowl and upland on the shelf.  I'll probably just order the stock / forearm set.
