I've used a fan tied to a stake with fishing line. Never had it close to me but would put it among my decoys. Seemed the fan, even without a body attached to it would draw them in...As for tolling or whatever you'd like to call it...Ahhhh, I get a shiver just thinking about it! Can you imagine the conversation at your viewing? "He did WHAT???!!!"

My two cents  :z-twocents: worth, I woudn't do it on public land, asking to get shot, too many yahoos. I look at turkey hunting as a challenge in doing it as simple as I can get. Get the bird coming in with calling and choice of set-up. I don't knock anyone for using any legal means but there is something to be said to use a saying, the KISS Principle: keep it simple stupid, and by stupid I'll start with me, and don't miss watching the tom coming in hunting for a hen but finding you!
We wait all year, why not enjoy the longbeard coming in hunting for a hen, let 'em' in close !!!
