Red dot or Scope?

Red dot hands down for me.

Battery life on a FF3 is supposed to be at least 10,000 hours, I wouldn't worry about your battery dying. It is supposed to have a low battery indicator of some kind, but given the battery life I doubt I'll ever see it. I turn the sight on when I leave the vehicle and it's on all day. I carry a spare battery just in case.

Red dot. I have two of them, a Leupold and a Bushnell.

I have looked through a TRS 25 only once so I might not be giving a fair comparison.  I would go with the FF3.  I think you would have a better view through the FF3 but like I said I've only looked through the TRS 25 only once.  I just like the reflex type sights better for turkey hunting.

Burris fastfire 3, as of jan 1, 2014 it has a lifetime warranty, and I know from personal experience their customer service is super.  10,000 hours battery life, you can use the auto adjusting dot, or chose between 3 manual intensity levels for the red dot.  Fully water proof.  Parallax free from 10 yards to 150 yards.

Also you could slip in a modified choke on your turkey gun, use 2 3/4" shells and hunt rabbit, squirrel, pheasant, quail, etc.  Both eyes open and you can acquire your target fast.

Red dot. Just keep extra batteries on you. Nothing like picking up your gun to find out that your dot is bye bye.

Thats what scares me about a red dot.Easy insurance though to have a backup battery.Do you guys change out your batteries every year?Another concern is turning it on when its go time only to find out that the bead dies when you have a turkey committed to coming in,WTF do you do then?!HAHA

I like the fastfire 3 better, has a lifetime warranty and battery life is 10,000 hours, just keep the spare battery handy and when the red dot blinks twice every 5 seconds change the battery.  If it happens when you have a bird coming in you are suppose to have 4 hours battery life left.  If the red dot goes out when the bird is committed its just your luck, if it were not that it would have been something else.  change the battery and go find another bird.  My best recommendation is to get a fastfire 3.

Well I just bought myself a early Fathers day present, an Aimpoint 9000sc. Got it mounted a couple days ago and am ready to sight it in. It is smaller than it looked in the pics I saw, and I am tickled pink with how it mounts on my gun. Think it is exactly what I need.

Be sure to keep your original receipt, if you exercise the warranty you have to send a copy of the receipt with the scope to prove purchase date, otherwise you have no warranty.
