THIS! Use distilled white vinegar. I've dumped it inside the was as stated, and I've also sprayed under the arms with a spray bottle.

Love my Log 6 Ozone generator. Put my gear in a bin, run for 30 minutes, stink gone. Only wash when stuff gets really dirty.
