If they flew up 70 -80 yds away, you didnt spook them bad at all. Your friend fidgeting with the gun was nothing. A turkey probably boogers at something it doesnt like twenty times a day. Most impt thing in those situations is to sit tight till its good and dark before u slip away. I had an old bird fly up in my lap the night before season opener one year. I had to lay prone until dark. Darn bird was inside forty yards of me. Snuck outta there, came back and killed him next morning. Deer and other critters prob flush turkeys plenty of times. Dont sweat it. Go back and kill one in that same spot tomorrow. Good luck!
