If I was a shell maker I would take a look at this poll and say what is Winchester doing, we need to do the same?
I have never had a Remington or Federal pattern as well as Winchesters. The old Federals were good, but I have tried the the flight controls through all my chokes and they just wont pattern.

Indeed...  Lead isn't dead, and with many posting in the lead board about going back to Lead seems sales should increase over previous years as well.  I would think the "others" should be checking out what WIN is doing because they are more then just winning this poll the numbers almost make it not fair for the other guys.

I have changed my mind about Remington shotshells. I know that I made a post a little while back about Remington shotshells and not being up with the times.
Well, it turns out that I found a Remington shotshell I would like to try this season. It's an "Old School" 12 Premier 3 inch 2 oz. Magnum, #5 shot.
I like the pattern spread at a range that I want to shoot a turkey at...less than 40 yards away, not in the next zip code.
Is it a slower load? Yes. Is it early 1990s technology, not HTL? Yes.
Nothing against anybody who wants to hunt with the latest and greatest, and not everybody who uses the new loads is a poor sportsman ...but I'm  less impressed than I once was about velocity, and anyway, the contest is my calling and skills vs. the turkey's natural abilities. I have no desire whatsoever to ever become a long range turkey sniper, so maybe "old school" isn't bad after all.
