Oh darn, just realized I am not going to be able to go then, I scheduled my surgery for Sept. 1 so I could got the week before when it was set for, I can't change it or I will have to wait another 2 months for surgery. That totally bites!

That sucks, might as well break out those thin mints!

Might at 4th of July, CHRISTmas and Fourth of July were my cheat dates until this event came about and then I changed it to CHRISTmas and the last week in August when the Call Makers Summit took place.

I think this date will work better for me, I'll have all my fall food plots in by the 9th and I'm 90% sure I'm not going to go September bear hunting this year.

I will be in a non walking cast for a month so I can't drive there. None of my friends are real turkey hunters, it is the one time a year I get to be around people I have this in common with and one of only two things I look forward to every year, the other being turkey season. Really am quite upset right now. I truly am happy you will be able to make it though if you have never been you will truly enjoy yourself. Also I buy from Marlin every year, it's the only place he goes that I can not only hear but see what he is offering. Sorry, don't mean to be a jerk, but I truly was looking forward to going.

I'm sure that's majorly disappointing I know it's a major event for you each year.

I talked to my scheduling manager and was informed that I committed to the beach that weekend so it doesn't look like the change in date is going to do me any good either.

Very sorry to hear that, can you switch shifts with someone? It would be nice if I could get someone to have my toes operated on for me.

Yes I had it planned this year also but not sure I can make either day. It was a stretch before traveling from Florida anyway. But Turkey Trot is such a great time and it's a great time seeing everyone. Bubba

Well I decided to open the girl scout cookies cheat this month, well this week anyway so I went and grabbed some childhood favorites that I just can't seem to find that often. I guess in the way it's better cheating on my diet now so I'll be able to get my blood sugar back to where it normally is when I'm on my diet by the time I'm having the surgery instead of trying of re-regulating from the week before surgery at turkey trot and not being quite there yet. I still want to go there though darn it!
