New arrival this week. Pretty little fiddle box by TJ Johnson.  Blue Mahoe and walnut. TJ built this to be his personal call this year. I've been wanting one of his fiddles for a while and I feel fortunate to get this one. And it's a runner for sure. I'll try it out this weekend on a stubborn old bird I've been talking to.

A quality paddle caller will most run itself.  It just needs someone to carry it around the woods. Yoder409
Over time...they come to learn how little air a good yelper actually requires. ChesterCopperpot

How similar are these calls to Marlin's?  Thanks

Very.  It's my understanding that Marlin taught him. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.  I've seen some that were signed by both Marlin and TJ.
There are slight differences in design that are noticeable. But very similar.
Both Marlin and TJ build a darn good box.

He builds some good boxes. I'm using one of his walnut over poplar fiddle box this year.

TJ Johnson contact info?

Look him up on Facebook. I looked him up today, we messaged back and forth; and I got on his list. Seems like a really good dude and very customer oriented.
