Has anybody tested the pull weight on the 301 Turkey?  I'm a quad and need the pull weight to be under 3.5lbs if possible.  I'm assuming that the factory pull weight is more than that.

I'm not a 100% but I don't like a hard pull and mine seemed fine to shoot.

Mine is not the best either but it is shotgun that sells under $200  I'm gonna see about doing something with mine.

Too bad Timney doesn't make a drop in trigger for these shotguns.  That would make things a lot easier.

Took mine to my gunsmith today and he had it at at around 6 1/2lb with his spring trigger scale. I had it around 5 1/2lb on my digital scale. He said he was gonna hone and polish it to maybe around 4 for me. I'm not sure when he'll get to it but I'll be sure to post up what it turns out to be.

That sounds pretty good. Looking forward to hear out it turns out. Thanks!

I've dry fired mine about 300 times using a Snap Cap and it has gotten smoother and more consistent. I've not checked the pull weight, but I'm guessing it's around 5lbs or so.

I did the same and it did get a lot better I have not put a trigger scale on it but I am guessing mine is about 5 lbs as well not the greatest trigger I have on a shotgun but acceptable.

I did mine about 100 more times last night. The pull weight seems the same, but it does feel a little smoother than before. Not sure if it's actually helping or if it's all in my head??

Well, I was able to pick up a 301 Turkey on Friday and the trigger is a little stiffer than I would like but I'm able to pull it pretty well. I contacted Rob Roberts to see if they could do a trigger job on it and they told me they don't do break action guns. So I reckon I'll be rollin with what I got unless I can find someone locally to do it for me.

NRA tested one and it came in at  6 lb 6 oz trigger pull.
