Been a good two weeks.  Had some close calls but finally connected this AM.  First spot I went had a bird gobblin his head off on the roost.  Got set up and he went silent.  Not another peep from him.  Relocated to another spot where I knew some birds were.  Get set up and hit the ole pot call a couple times and I get a gobble waaay off.  The bird keeps gobblin every few minutes and I can tell he is coming my way.  Hit the call a few more times and I get two different birds gobblin at about 100 yds.  I quit calling and so did they.  After about 20 mins of nothing I see him right in front of me coming through the thick stuff.  Dropped him at 25 yds.  Hunt took a little over an hour.  Young bird....7/8", 9" and about 15 lbs.

Beautiful morning in the woods.
