Anyone use the "Baffle Trumpet" Eastern Assassin turkey call. I bought it from now deceased Mr Doug Totty at a trade show many years ago and it now just sits in my Treasure Chest. Despite all of my efforts to follow Doug's instructions on how to use it I just can not manage to sound like a turkey. He could play it like a musician and it sounded so good. Wish there was YouTube instructional on it, but like I said this was bought in the early '90s.

I have one and can get some yelps on it. Got it in 2006 and practced with it it for a long time off and on. Am going to try it this year. It has a different sound and might work on a bird. Don't get me wrong I am no expert with a wing bone. But Lovitt Williams says in his book "After the Hunt" that even if you don't think you sound good, go hunt with it anyway, the birds might work to it. It has a 'different sound' that might turn on birds. By the way Doug Totty was alive when I purchased it, and he said it will be worth the time to practice with it. I use it like a wing bone and use that method and I can get some yelps. Key word, some. Hope this helps.
We wait all year, why not enjoy the longbeard coming in hunting for a hen, let 'em' in close !!!

This list has more than just Trumpets on it, I am trying to learn/relearn some calls this year and these have been helpful. Best of luck to you. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLbF6qMoJbTLzkdmzIrqSSxeTkJKKmXVg8

Pics might motivate someone. I've never seen the inside of one.

I have one and can't make it sound like a turkey to save my life. I practiced that call religiously for a year straight and off and on for another 2. It's just a paper weight for me

From the pic it looks like the tube just goes all the way through. Is there a hollow expansion chamber in there?
