Youth weekend in VA

Took my oldest out for our youth deer weekend this morning, no shots fired but deer and turkeys seen.  Called it a morning at 10:30, but nothing beat the excitement I saw in his eye when two fawns walked in on us.  Momma never showed up though.  Good morning all around though.

Love youth season. It's fun to watch my boy shiver and shake when deer are in sight. Lot of good chuckles there. Sometimes the deer get some warning shots with him behind the gun. The daughter on the other hand is certain death. Five shots, five bucks so far.

Good to teach the young how to hunt.  Stick at it and you will get one.
