What's the total unfired measurement of a roll crimp 3"TSS shell?
I know they will all vary some from shell to shell with hand loads.

Just trying to figure out what will cycle reliably in the M2.....

Mine cycles the FED HW 3" fine they measure about 2 9/16"- 2 5/8"

If I get the roll crimp to this length unfired will it cycle, or is it the fired length that's the problem?

From what I'm told the problem is coming out of the magazine and into the action.  They will eject just fine.  I was warned about loading the 3" load.  I load the 2 3/4" load and get great results.

More than likely that's what I will load also. Really no need for more than that with TSS from the patterns I have seen here.

Just like to know why things work or don't work.

Yep. It's not ejecting them it's cycling them. Benelli cut it short for some reason. I just use a 2 3/4" 1 7/16oz load and it never fails me

I use the 1 5/8 oz. load.

Can 1 5/8 oz of #9 fit in 2 3/4 roll crimp or do you have to have 3"?

Hall has a 2 3/4" 1 5/8oz stubby load

It'll fit. It's what I load. Hal will give you the recipe.

Sounds good to me I don't care about the size of the shell I just want to be able to get enough components to load them with the killer patterns you guys are getting with TSS
