Spurless public land bird!

Heres one my buddy put the snaek on this morning.He killed him strutting with 4 hens at 10 steps. The best part was I got to watch it all cause I was covering the back door.10 inch beard 19.10 ibs

Congrats to your buddy on the bird.  Crazy not having any spurs, have never seen it myself.

Me niether,I was on top of him when he shot him. I reached down and grabbed the bird to check his spurs cause I was sure he would have some good ones.There was nothing but bumps like a baby poult has.

Nice bird.
We have had the same issue here in Florida. My buddy and I both shot birds in the same area. Mine had almost no spurs and his bird only had 1.
I thought maybe it was from fighting, but could be something else.
