Well went hunting saturday afternoon and did not see or hear anything. But sunday morning I had a lot of gobbling and was working a bird but he got hen up so I made A move to what we call the pond and after about A hour or so I still had not seen or heard anything so I was going to look at some other land to hunt in louisana .As I got to the main road I made one more long and loud yelp. And the woods shook from all the gobbling. They were on the other side of the pond and coming my way so I ran down the hill and across the swampie area to the last ditch that I couldnt cross. now the birds are in range but behind some thick
brush. No matter how love sick I made my call sound the toms wouldnt come throw the
thicket. So I went back to the high ground and back tracked around the swamp about 400 yards calling the hole way.I made across the swamp and up the rige and the turkies are coming on a string. I sit down by a pine tree and cut, they are on the other side of my hill and gobbling. I put my 835 on my knee an d lick my chops!Just above the top of the hill I can see A white head .What I see next breaks my hart all 5 toms are jakes lol .But it was the coolest hunt I have had and I thank GOD for my in the woods .Sorry it didnt have a kill at the end of this story but I guess that why they call it hunting
