Go to call?

Hey guys just picked up a couple more calls, can never have to many right. Anyway just wondering what you guys like to take to the woods and what would be your go to call. I have a big arsenal of calls but only take a certain few with me during the season, its usually a couple of friction with several strikers a box call and several mouth calls for me. I would say more birds have died at the end of my gun barrel from me calling with a mouth than anything else. The funny thing is that was the first call I learned how to use, so the first three years I hunted that was the only call I carried. The diaphragm has always been my go to call because of its versatility, I tell my buddies all the time if I cant call him in with my mouth call nobody can. anyway just curios what you guys like to bring em in with.

Probably a mouth call for me also, but I love a boxcall and a tube call also. Both of the later is what I'll run if I'm just hiking around trying to strike a bird. If I do strike one, then I'll get setup and use the mouth call. That being said, I own way more pot calls than anything else-I guess I just like em' all.

Mostly Boxcalls and trumpets,  I carry Five calls with me when I hunt, One Box, two Pots and a trumpet and acoulpe mouth calls . But my go to call is a longbox made by Marlin.

I always take my slate, copper an aluminum, fighting purr call. I'll use the copper first, if they don't like it I'll go to the aluminum 99.9 percent they will start coming with one of them then I'll finish the job with one of Hook's mouth.... calls.             Forgot the box call....

I run and gun quite a bit so I take the bare minimum along most times.  I prefer a mouth call 99 percent of the time, but on extended sits, I will grab a slate or ceramic pot call to strike one up.  I use the mouth call to seal the deal.  I find box calls to be a hindrance in the size department and haven't messed with carrying one in over 15 years.

I guess my go to call would be a diaphram but I seem to play a bit with both the glass and slate. It really depends on the bird.  For in close work the diaphram normally the Woodhaven series calls and as a rule the slate for distance work. I ordered a copper call to add to the arsenal but I'm really unfamiliar with it but I'm hoping it will work out well. Something different they may not have heard.
