A North Carolina Killa!

Well this call has been in the works for quite some time and fittingly so the wood carries a ton of history. This is one of my "Hunting Series" callers, a few less frills, but packed with a ton heart-breaking hens for the gobblers. Hard Maple over Mahogany with alternating inlays. The Maple came a upper hay mound knee brace I acquired from a barn built in 1852 by W.K. Flint, Erie Co. NY. Get this...I managed to scoop 4 of these knee braces and each one is about 5" thick...just within the 5" I can clearly count 148!!! growth rings, so this wood for the barn was already 148 yrs old back in 1852 so that makes it at least 308 yrs old. The Mahogany was given to me by my friend Tim Bullock and it is salvaged from hurricane Katrina. Well it was a honor to build this call and I sure hope ole Master Officier Bullocks fools a bunch of NC longbeards with it---enjoy Tim!
BTW, it was 8 degrees when I took this pics this morning.

Turkeys are as smart as hunters make em and public land offers more classes.
George Washington didn't use his freedom of speech to defeat the British, he shot them.
