Okay guys , I went in and made the new Deer and Waterfowl areas - In time they will be populated with content and talk as the season progresses - I like to hunt other things like the rest of you and this will help pass the time while we wait for turkey season to get here-


To keep you updated with the current events and happenings ... I moved the 2011 turkey contest area down to the bottom of the forum since that is long over ,we faced some challenges with the 2011  contest due to the site crash , and had to make adjustments-   I am in the process of drafting the rules for the 2012 contest, and this is where we are at -

1) 12 members per team maximum , no if and's, or butts - you snooze you loose

2) 6 members per self selection , the other 6 will be random - no exceptions   

3)  100 posts to play in a regular team , proof of picture posting ability will be required - we will be beefing up some rules to prohibit dead beats from ruining teams

4) Me and all of the moderators are stepping back and not participating in the contest to insure we can devote time to making the contest/site  run smoothly


Next ..... The bingo's some of you may have noticed we have halted the bingo games in the off season and you may be asking why ? Well the main reason is we try to help call makers and turkey hunting industry as much as possible and try to focus the bulk of the bingo's right at Spring time or prior to maximize attention and help them gain coveted potential customers and brand name/craftsman recognition - We want call makers to get as much bang as they can for donating a prized call, so we do it at spring time when hunters are in the market for calls and gear , X-mas time is also very good too , and from what they have been telling me it has been helping the callmakers out quite a bit !

Now as the years have passed we have enhanced the bingo process to help the callmakers out as much as possible , one obstacle was the lengthy registration process of up to a week where no games were under progress - So what we did was have one list sent in to cover the entire season, this helped me out quite a bit because I didn't have to be constantly be sending loads of conformations of receiving bingo words and I could play bingo games quickly and get these callmakers some promotional time they deserve -I am debating the option of starting a new bingo game every 3-4 days staggered, that way there is 2-3 bingo games going on at any given time durring spring time  - This improvement will likely be made to allow more bingo games for the callmakers and members to enjoy !!!! Most of you know what this site looks like at spring time and it can get crazy busy-   I often times get more generous callmakers wanting to host bingos than I can fit in , so this will help everyone out --  To the callmakers don't be shy, send me a PM and I will schedule you in to the best of my abilities -

We are blessed to have such generous advertisers and callmakers here on OG last season we gave out thousands of dollars of top notch hunting gear to the members , Please take time to thank them for generously donating whenever get a chance - While we are at it , it looks like they have out done themselves and most of them have scheduled even more product for the upcoming 2012 spring season so make sure you look sharp !!

I will update the Bingo section come thanksgiving time and start games then -
