Team,

Let's clear up any rumors and tell us, in your own words, important and interesting things about yourself that don't appear in any AI reports. Where you live, how you hunt, your equipment. skills and talents. You get it, who are you?

My name is Norman Sisson and my wife and I live in the quiet town of St. Paul, MN. Yeah, THAT St. Paul. I am retired now and I am able to pursue a passion of mine, making art. I have won the NWTF Custom Call Making Competition twice in the wingbone yelper division.

I started hunting turkeys in 1974 in Mississippi while at college. My roommates and I read everything that we could lay our hands on about turkeys and 2 years later we all shot our first turkeys in the same season. I hunted them on and off for several years and finally got serious about chasing them in about 1990. I shoot a custom camouflaged Remington Youth model 870 20 gauge and shoot TSS shells. Since I stated hunting turkeys in Minnesota, I have found them to be rather naive and easy to call. I guess that hunting the hardest birds in the nation have had a positive effect on honing my turkey killing skills.  ;D

My name is AL Baker.I am 59 years old. I was a welder apprentice through master, a welding instructor, a supervisor now a manager. I am married with 3 adult children. I started turkey hunting in 2001, at least 20 years too late. My wife, Mrs Z , started hunting with me in 2017 and is blessed to have an on call turkey guide service at her command.I shoot a Benelli SBE3 28 gauge and a Browning Silver 12/3.5 as a backup. TSS in the 28, lead in the 12. I am a basic human being, maybe even a little old school. I love to help kids and veterans. I make pot calls and am working, not diligently, on a mini/smaller box call design. Not ready for public use yet, lol. Z

Hey guys my name is Scott and I'm from small town SW Mississippi. Love to chase these birds all over the country. They have taken me to some amazing places and I've met some really good folks along the way. I'm not near as mad at them as I used to be and for whatever reason I've gotten a pretty soft spot in my heart for them now.  It's always hurt a little to pull the trigger on one and maybe it's from living here in the south where they are few and far between, when the trigger is pulled you may not hear another bird in that area for many many years. Sorry for the downer rant. I do love fresh fried turkey nuggets so a select few are in trouble.

Still running my little 870 20ga sometimes my 410 and even my old smoke pole, shooting some gold plated TSS or could be straight gold, might be cheaper. I've got a small custom gun\shell shop on the side and this is the first year that I haven't had a stockpile of shells for folks. Still doing custom orders if folks want to pay for it but it's gotten insane.

Always enjoy this team and hope one day to meet a few of y'all in the woods. Good luck to everyone. With a lot of luck, I'll cross paths with a blind and deaf gobbler and get the job done.

I'm Michael from TN. I enjoy hunting turkeys, just not as much as most of you. I use it to pass time until deer season.  :jackson: I love bowhunting deer. This year not only will my son be turkey hunting but my little girl says she wants to give it a try. She's five and we'll see if she can handle the .410. It's been a few years since I brought out the bow for turkeys since my son has gotten into hunting but that'll change this year. Expect to see at least one bird with the bow. Nothing like having them in your lap without a blind. Good luck to everyone this year!

My name is Adam and I live in Bedford County, PA.  I grew up here and have raised 3 kids here, two boys and a girl.  My youngest boy Zander (18) joined our team this year.  I hunt in MD, WV, and PA with a Franchi Instinct SL 20ga o/u.  I am CEO of a small plastic injection molding company and I also have a 160 acre beef farm.  We get to take a few turkeys off our own property every year and it is very rewarding.  I plant food plots, do habitat management, and predator control to try and help them out every year.  I hunt public in MD and WV.

Can't wait to kick this season off on 4/18.

Bill here from Brainerd MN. I still working as the Field Manager for a painting company up here. My turkey taker is a T/C Enrore 20.  I"ve been chasing these birds around now for the better part of 35 years. I'm 69 now but will keep at it for as long as this old body can. Not slowing down as of yet! Glad to be part of this great team once again!!
