I think I'm times-4 with responses for the Winchester SX and have had 0 issues with 1,000s of every kind of round down the SX3 barrel!!

I would buy a Beretta A300 turkey. I'm looking at the waterfowl version myself.

Personally anything over 6lbs is a no go for me, close to 5lbs as possible in that price range!

I posted about an SA20 deal here yesterday, 499.99.  22 inch barrel and a good choke.

Hard pressed to find a better gun for the price, gun only for a grand keeps you from a Benelli.

You can grab that SA. a dot, sling, better dot base and some ammo easy for a grand. :welcomeOG:

Swamp fox greeen dot and an Indian Creek choke with some TSS

This is what I have been using. I think it checks all your boxes. Like already mentioned why go with anything above 6lbs. This comes in at 5.5lbs. Saving weight was my reason for switching to the 20ga. The Mossberg is a joy to carry and is a fine shooter.

Are you wanting a long term investment or something to scratch an itch until the next itch comes along?

I love my Stoeger M3020 turkey edition, very light and Bass Pro has a good deal on one with red dot.

I have an Affinity 3 Turkey and an SA 20 Turkey. I much prefer the SA20. I have had lots of problems with the Affinity and would never buy another.

I setup up a 20ga Beretta a300 turkey last year and I'm sorry I waited so long. Fantastic gun, the fit and finish are excellent, and it swings like pure butter. TSS kicks harder than lead so I wanted a gas-operated to reduce recoil more than an inertia system. My wife and I handled lots of 20ga semiautos before getting the Beretta, and chose the a300 because it was the best balanced for both of us (she always uses my rig for turkeys). The SA-20 is technically lighter than the a300, but we both thought it was less comfortable to shoulder because it felt nose heavy, which concerned me if she had to hold it on point for an extended length of time. The SA-20 is a great deal but I strongly encourage you to find one to handle before making the decision.

FWIW, the Tristar Viper G2 with pistol-grip stock was our runner-up to the a300.

Once Virginias new assault weapon ban takes hold in July, I may have a full setup Retay I'll  sell ya. Mine has a pistol grip which js an issue apparently. You know, it's scary looking I guess

Waiting on clarification. I know I can still own it but just waiting on clarification if I'll legally be able to transport it to hunt with.

Looking for one that I'll be able to setup and hunt with until I'm done hunting. Definitely a long term investment.
