Wish I had my Dixon back. I did replace it with a Fox Vest, but that Dixon sure was fine. You have many options, and will get good feedback here. I like the Alps Pro Impact. Real good seat for sure.

I really like my knight and hale run n gun 200. But I saw the blocker outdoors strap vest that is new this year and it caught my eye.

Absolutely LOVE my tidewe vest with the kick stand attachment. Has made a huge difference for me. I rarely hunt a lone and most of the time I am putting newbiews or others on a bird and I want them to be as comfortable as possible so they dont move every couple of mins so i give them the tree for the back rest and I prop my kick stand out and sit right next to em. Use to do the same thing but carry in the primos low profile chair but between carrying that and the decoy and gun I couldnt walk ten yards without dropping stuff. I even now have more confidence in setting up in areas I know the birds like to strut but dont have any good trees or lay downs to lean against cause I have basically a chair attached to my body. And it has way more pockets then youll ever need!

I got a new grounded 2.0 vest for the season and loaded out ready to hunt (minus 3 liters of water) it weighs 6 lbs. I don't carry much but it's a big difference from an alps or Fox vest I've used in years past.

I switched to a new vest last year. I bought an Ol Tom gunslinger and really like it.

I also bought an Old Tom Gunslinger and like it. Very light weight. Love the straps, wish it was a little tighter on the fit. Pockets well place and will carry plenty of stuff including 4 pot calls. Magnet on the seat seems to be pretty solid.

still using the alps 4.0 "the modern variant of a super elite 3"....and will continue to use it. vests arent "cool" anymore....and thats ok, I get it. But i see no reason to change for myself. good vest for the money...much better made than the original russel super elites. I do however carry a glenda green inner tube cushion....probably one of the better investments ive made in modern years.

I really liked the Final Approach Last Strut LITE last year, but in my never ending search to replace my tattered Ol Tom Essentials, I actually just bought the new Spring Legion vest. It reminds me a lot of the Essentials vest, and I think I am really going to like the fit and layout. It seems even more well-built with higher quality material. The major issue I ended up having with the FA vest was all of the extra stuff on the straps were exactly where my shotgun butt should sit on my shoulder. Absolutely crushed myself with my 12ga twice last year, and constantly found myself shifting the strap to get all of the stuff out of the way of the gun. I don't want to deal with that. Hopefully I have found the golden ticket with the Spring Legion.

Only complaint with the Spring Legion vest is no adjustments on the side and so everything rides on the sides. Im a L/XL shirt and 230lbs and even the XL version had everything on the hip. The Limbhanger and Dixon and other real solid vests put your pockets more in front in my opinion. That's what I never liked about the old Liberty and Spartan vests of the 90s. Put two straps on the sides of the Spring Legion vest and its the best simple vest on the market. Thing will last forever, hate I had to return mine. If youre smaller than a Large or don't mind it much the SL vest is very nice and hardy.
