I have a question for the callmakers here. I bought a Buice box awhile back from a guy that had not hunted it in years. The chalk on the lid to me seems really old and I'm afraid its lost it effectiveness. It's the old blue chalk. This stuff seems to stick to the lid. Just wondering a safe way to remove all of the old chalk and start fresh without damaging the lid. It is a beech lid.
I recall Mr Billy talking about using acetone to clean lids but I didn't want to do anything that would compromise the lid.
