Im sure this has been answered plenty in the past but Im not having any luck finding opinions with my same setup. I have a old school 835 with the 24 " ported barrel and I am using the Carlson long beard XR .683 choke. I have been on the TSS train for the past few years wanting to try out the longbeard XR shells. I am just curious about other peoples experience with this same setup using #5 vs #6 and 3" vs 3 1/2". I was always shooting 3 1/2" when I was younger but I understand having too much is possible to blow a pattern. Thanks

3 inch 1 7/8 oz load #6 will be real good. These are the magnum loads, a little difficult to find but they are out there.

you are correct, very hard to find. Looks like they have been discontinued. Do you think the 1 7/8 oz #5 would be just as comparable?

I shoot a winchester1300 21" barrel. I feed it Winchester LB 1 3/4 OZ. #6 shot no problems my Gobbler from last yr was 44 yds lasered and that gobbler dropped in his tracks. I bought a choke off a guy on here his name was Clark Bush thinks he passed since choke is 665 also have a Kicks gobbler choke just about the same results at the range. :firefighter:
