I never shot any of this but I've read several times about how much guys liked it,I've been shooting tss ever since I went to a 20ga and was wondering if the old Heavyweight is basically federals version of hevi shot and is it a 40ty yard shell with the right setup, also any idea what the 3" 1.5oz 7s 1100fps go for a box if you could buy some,I have a chance to pick  up a couple boxes and tss prices are getting out of hand, any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.....Greg

Been shooting nothing BUT the old skool Federal Heavy 7's outta my club of a 20 gauge since 2018.

Sumtoy .562-5 choke tube and they are the REAL DEAL.  40 yards all day, every day and with authority.

I was fortunate to have gleaned a lifetime supply of them just as Federal quit making them.
PA elitist since 1979

The good Lord ain't made a gobbler I can't kill.  I just gotta be there at the right time.....  on the day he wants to die.

My son has been shooting them in a benelli 20 for as long as he's been turkey hunting. They pack some authority I can tell you that. Too bad we're down to 3 shells left so I suppose I'll switch him over to the TSS 9s I been stockpiling up.

These shells were the reason I setup a 20 gauge,they would hammer a gobbler from 0 - 40 yards...
Thank goodness I have a little stock of these shells in both 7's and I have a few boxes in number 6's ...

I just wish they would bring the shell back, because it was all a turkey hunter needed in a 20 gauge shell..IMO

You could find sales on these shells anywhere from 18 dollars - 25 dollars

Those shells will hammer a turkey at 40 yards, been shooting them for about 10 years and have a few boxes left. I use a Sumtoy .562 in a Benelli M2 and Carlsons .575 in a Mossberg 500.

Trulock 565 is what I use in my Remington 20 ga. I wanted just a little more wiggle room ...
