Winchester made a turkey load back in early-mid 2000's called Winchester Supreme Elite. They called the shot "Environmental" shot. Best patterning non-TSS load I've ever used. They sold in boxes of 10 for around 35 bucks. Longbeard replaced this using copper plated lead. With TSS pries hitting the stratisfere, they should bring this back. I have a few boxes left, wis I had more....

Yes, that is a very good shell. I still have some in #4s I use on certain hunts. They pattern very well and hit like a freight train,sure would like to see them brought back!

Went from 12 ,to 20. Now trying 410.
If your good enough u can get em in close ans still use your TSS

I hear ya, I've moved from icky heavy shotguns to a nice hefty stick. Cheap and easy to find anywhere.

Lead 5s never made sense to me in 20ga, Hevi shot mag blend or 7s.  Longbeards seem hit or miss in 20ga.

So many patterns on youtube to look through now but dominated by TSS.

Someone needs to come up with a tungsten plated lead maybe?  With the price of it now alternatives will be coming.

There is tin plated tungsten and copper plated tungsten for hand loading. I believe the tin coated is the same as the Federal heavyweight.

Yes on the coated TSS but my point was coating lead with Tungsten to keep it uniform for patterns and add density,probably wouldn't work and the process too expensive, but thats for someone like Winchester to figure out!

Maybe tungsten lead blended together?
