Long beards at 40yds- Browning A5

I think with this patten you would have a dead turky down out to 40 yds but I would try 5s or 6s.

I don't hunt with a 12ga anymore but here's one of my patterns just for a comparison.  that's an 870 12ga 21" barrel and 40yds with LBXR 3" #6. it wears the factory SFT choke.

I'm with the #5 lead crowd out of a 12 gauge. I will be trying a Patternmaster Code Black turkey choke at .665. This worked wonderfully in my last Browning Gold and am hoping that it does in my new Silver. I will be shooting #5's. Z

I shoot WLB #6 shot. Last gobbler was 44 yds + - a yard from laser that Gobbler went down in his tracks.

I hunt with a browning gold classic and a .665 choke. Double XX #5s are my best loads. They are eating a bird up at 40+ yards and I don't have to put up collateral for a loan to buy them
