Just checking in on everyone. Be warm and safe. I put out 80 pounds of corn and seeds for my turkeys, I hope they fill up and keep warm.  :funnyturkey: Z

Kypossum

Not looking good for us here in Ky. They are saying 12 to 18" in this area. I filled the feeder this evening also. I have some seed to put out and hopefully the quail find it. Everyone be safe and stay warm!!

On the ski hill thinking about what spot to hunt this spring. Feel like temp -17. Safe travels

Tail Feathers

We don't get near the cold or snow some of you get.  We do have some single digit temps and ice coming, something we don't often see.
I'm prepared to ride it out. I don't think 9 degrees will kill turkeys over just one night.
Love to hunt the King of Spring!

Happy

Hopefully everyone has food, water, and alternate power ready. This has the potential to be ugly for a bit.

Currently 1° here.   Calling for 8"-14" of snow....then 2 weeks of high temps in the teens.

Gonna be some tough sleddin' for our turkeys for a while.

The good Lord ain't made a gobbler I can't kill.  I just gotta be there at the right time.....  on the day he wants to die.

Gooserbat

The weather man is saying up to 16" here.

AS I write this it is currently sitting at 17 below at my place. Suppose to get down to 27 below tonight. It got down to 26 below last night. Not suppose to get above zero until some time Monday afternoon. My furnace has been getting a work out for sure! Last night was very windy so they say the windchill was like 40 below. Im all ready for spring!

It's starting to sleet and snow here in extreme north Georgia.
I'd Rather be on Hazel Creek

Storm covers almost 2000 miles. Lots of us in the path. Be safe

Here in NE Iowa we have been dealing with extreme cold and wind. Yesterday morning it was -21*. It warmed up to -10*, add in the 10-20mph wind and the feel like temp hit -45* to -50*. 6am this morning it was -12*. It's suppose warm up to 0* this afternoon. Tomorrow we are going to get into the single digits above zero and then continue to slowly warm up until we get back to our normal high of about 25* by the 1st of February.

The storm is going to miss us to the south. 100 miles south of here might see some flurries. I will take a lot of snow over any ice anytime. Everyone stay safe.

Wishing all of you guys the best. I can't even image those kinds of conditions...or how any critter can survive outside in those conditions for long.

In my 74 years here in the southwest, I can only remember one time that the temperature has gotten into single digits here. "Below Zero" isn't even in our dictionary. We are getting some badly needed rain/drizzle here currently with temps in the high 40's currently.

Again, best wishes to all of you who are in the way of this system. Stay safe...and warm.  :icon_thumright:
