I got drawn for Moore plantation this year and was looking for some insight on what to expect. It'll be my first time there and I was curious if anyone else in here has been drawn for it and if they had any success?

It's a great hunt. I live here and have hunted it for years. Expect some rainy weather. For some reason it is always rainy that first week. It's a late season here so patience and not calling hard is key. Good luck!

Appreciate it. Im looking forward to it. I would like to scout, but it being a couple of hours from the house, it's not feasible.

Scouting prior is tough because you will get to pick 1 of 16 sections. So it will be hard to scout the entire place. Once you get your section, you can scout the rest of the day which is the day before season opening.

Yeah I was curious if they'd assign units or not. Have you ever had any success on one of the draws ?

Yes, but I show up as a walkup. All of the people that get drawn don't show up. I have killed a couple and called in a couple for others. There are birds but they can be tough.
