Grind to fit recoil pads

Anyone done a grind to fit recoil pad and have advice? Looking at doing my first one to make an old Remington 870 youth 20 gauge more pleasant to shoot. It's stock rubber pad is a cracking a bit.

You may be able to find one that fits that set up. Now Limbsaver has some nice ones. We have put them on a few times. Put them in the freezer then sand with belt sander.
Tell us just how dead do you want them to be and we will see if we can get that for you.
