Making wing bone calls

Wanting to make a few calls, other than using bones from birds you've killed, where can you buy them?  Found a place on ebay, are there others?

Domestic bones tend to not work well; they're undeveloped and soft. I'd imagine a lot of states would prohibit the sale of wild bones, but I may very well be wrong on that. If you can get with any other hunters a lot of times folks will save bones for you. If you can get with any snow goose hunters the radiuses out of them work incredibly well as mouthpieces; about as henny as you can get without it being a hen.

Most of the really good wingbone makers, so someone like Tony Ezolt, are using the bones from a customer's bird to make the call for them. So with Tony you borax the bones and mail them to him. He keeps them in a freezer, I believe, until he makes the call.

I requested Tony make a wing bone caller from some goose bones I had from some of the geese I killed. He made a great sounding caller.

Get your hunting friends to save all their wings. After a while (decades, lol) you'll have folks from all over the country sending you bags of bones. I have a chest freezer filled to the top with only wing bones.

Tony, that is what I did.  I also worked with a local Plantation that had a charity rodeo.
I was able to collect over 150 wings this spring.
