20ga. 2oz tss loads

Has anyone shot or do you shoot these loads in a semi-auto. Do they work fine or do they beat your internals up in your gun?

I have a m2 that I had to put one of those on myself. I was only shooting 1 3/4oz loads when I had to do that. This is why I was wondering about the 2oz.

Rocky Ridge #9s. I tried it in IC .555,.562 and trulock .570. All 3 were very good, but the trulock had the tightest core with the most consistency of pattern distribution. I think the average bb count for the trulock was aprox. 10"- 380/20"- 260. The ICs were more like 360/250ish.

That should definitely work, sounds impressive. My m2 likes a .570 with a variety of loads. Never been able to get anything to shoot through a .555

I have to ask this question.  Why would anyone want to shoot a 2 oz load in a 20 gauge?  Most of the guys that switch to a 20, do it because they want to lighten the weight they are carrying and lighten recoil.  We all know that a heavier load, like the 2 oz, will increase pressures and will cause long term damages to the 20 gauge.  I shoot a 3 1/2 inch, 2 1/4 load in my 12 and it rocks your world so I can imagine what it would do in 5 to 5 1/2 lb gun.  Just curious.

I do it because I want a 12 gauge payload in a sub 6lb gun. I dont care about recoil. My 115lb wife killed several birds with it this spring and it was no problem for her either.

To put that recoil into perspective, you are looking at 81 ft-lbs in a 6 pound gun, higher for a sub 6 pound gun. There are only a couple of rifles in existence with more, including the Weatherby .460 Mag and the .577 and .600 NE double rifles.

I like my retinas right where they are. Really hard to shoot with a torn rotator cuff as well, YMMV.
