Every now and then I get an idea. I may not always act on it but I keep some in mind. I'm a single slate junkie. I've played a ton and own quite a few and my favorite is the DD Adams stop sign call though I have yet to own one from him. I have a few from others so that's where I started. I've been looking at the plastic can holders from our home town brewery and thought it would be worth a try to use it on a call. My first attempt is the single slate with hopes it would make this style call usable for all situations. So I made a few and truly believe it helps the call resonate more with calling louder or softer. Again my opinion and something for me to explore and a new hunting tool I believe will prove itself. Thanx for the look.

A quality paddle caller will most run itself.  It just needs someone to carry it around the woods. Yoder409

Over time...they come to learn how little air a good yelper actually requires. ChesterCopperpot

The good Lord ain't made a gobbler I can't kill.  I just gotta be there at the right time.....  on the day he wants to die.

Thanx for the kind words. I know that there have been plenty of this type of call and striker done by others over time, so we know that I'm not reinventing the wheel here. I'm just a call junkie that likes to mess around with a new idea now and then. It's also what keeps this hobby fun for me. When opportunity knocks I have to open the door now and then.

Sometimes it's the very simple things that make all the difference.  I enjoy seeing thinking outside the box experimenting.  I also like the looks of those strikers. Well done, my friend!!!
