Ive never really noticed it much on any of my shotguns but my new Stoger feels extremely heavy.
The manufacturer says 6.5 lbs.
Im going to have it worked on by a trusted smith.. I was just wondering what you guys would say is good. Im thinking like 4lbs but if lighter can be safe I'd go less. Shooting the only turkey I shot so far I really didn't notice it much but I was thinking about it during the shot which probably helped quiet a bit.
Now when pattering I really noticed.
Im sure my smith will have a recommendation . Just curious what yall thought

Those guns aren't known for light, crisp triggers. But like you said when you pull the trigger on a turkey you'll never notice it.

If your gunsmith can get it down to 4 I would consider that exceptional. Not sure if that will be possible.

Sometimes the creep/ overtravel is worse than the actual pull weight.

I notice the trigger pull the most while sighting in the gun. But I agree I hate a long creep on a shotgun trigger. I like a trigger in the 3 pound range or less if that's possible depending on the gun. Sometimes depending on the gun, you can order a trigger spring from MCarbo and replace it yourself and save some money, they have videos on how to replace the springs for the ones they sell.

MCarbo tutorials are well done, easy to follow even for someone with minimum mechanical abilities, like myself lol.
A quality paddle caller will most run itself.  It just needs someone to carry it around the woods. Yoder409
