Z,
I appreciate your attention to details on here, but you missed something important, my brother. Oh sure, the Killer Bs present score of 583.5845 is impressive, but that is the total scoring for
10 birds
. If they take their top 9 posted birds, as the rules state, their team score comes to 531.5895. This places them behind Limbhangers (542.235 with 9 birds) and Scattered Flock (554.095 with 9 birds). We are presently sitting with a score of 472.3851 from 7 birds. If we can post 2 more gobblers that score 60 points apiece, an entirely possible task, we will ceiling out in the neighborhood of 592.4. This will place this team of Returning Champions with an insurmountable lead of 40 points over the second place team.
Be safe, have fun, shoot 2 60 point birds!
Cheers Champions!

As has been reported to me, I made an error. Killer Bs score of 583.58 is for their
top 9 birds
and stands as the score to beat. Let me reiterate, with two or more 60 point adult gobblers, this contest is ours. It will not be the spanking that I previously posted, but it will be the win. These next few weeks are gonna be fun no matter what.
Be safe, have fun, shoot the big one.
Cheers

How about a 67.125 MN. longbeard? That should help the cause! I suck at this computer posting stuff, but the gal at the office is a wiz at it, so I will get him posted up this afternoon after work with her help!

Alright, here's the skinny on the scores. With Paintbrush's great bird we are presently at 539.5101. We have one full scoring bird yet to be shot and scored in addition to upgrades for those still hunting. We are 60.4899 points away from the 600 threshold.
Now for the good news. If we post a bird scoring 64.7540, we will beat Crusaders 2018 team score. If we post a bird scoring 66.7125, we will beat The Crusaders 2017 team score and set a new high team score record for the Old Gobbler Contest. These numbers are from the Archives shown on the main page that run back to 2017. Higher team final scores may have been recorded in earlier years, but they are not shown on here.
Gentlemen, we stand on the verge of setting a new high team scoring mark with a
big
bird, but we know very well that monster birds are well within this team's capabilities.
I am excited for the ensuing weeks of this contest.
Be safe, have fun, your guns in your hands are destined to kill monsters.
Cheers

First 4 days of the season have been a grind for me. Heard my first gobble yesterday. Took today off. Back at it tomorrow. I would say about 8 years ago or so, I saw 13 birds hit the ground between me and others. It's just not the same.
