I am looking hard at the Mossberg 20 Ga 500 turkey pump gun. It comes two ways a 22" barrel and optic ready. or for another $100 I can get it with  Holosun HS407K installed with a 20" barrel. they both have the extended choke tube witch I believe is not included in barrel length. Witch of these would be the preferred barrel length???
My first thought is the 20" be lighter but maybe the 22" would balance better?

what do you think?

22" for me, 24" would be even better.

If I were to go with the 20" I would trip the open style Holosun for an enclosed model.

A quality paddle caller will most run itself.  It just needs someone to carry it around the woods. Yoder409

Sit down wrong, and you're beat. Jim Spencer                          Don't go this year where Youtubers went last year.

Just an fyi. I'd personally go for the 26" if available. The 24" being acceptable. No way no how 2-4" making a difference. That's marketing nonsense but understand the model 500 does not come with a tss choke. That'll be another price. I know we usually switch anyhow but just a heads up.

I just bought the 500 with a 22" barrel as a backup gun. I've only shot it a few times but like the barrel length. it feels light and easy to shoulder. I will use it for ducks too.
